Great news! DOT has decided to do a feasibility study on an expanded bike lane on the Pulaski Bridge. Huge thanks to Joe Lentol for bringing this to the attention of DOT, and kudos to DOT for prioritizing this study. And especially, thank you to everyone who has brought the problem of bike and pedestrian overcrowding on the Pulaski Bridge to the attention of the City and our elected officials over the past few years. It’s paying off!
Last week we had a great bike and kayak event on the East River, bringing awareness to the Newtown Creek area and need for an expanded and separated bike and pedestrian path on the Pulaski Bridge specifically. Thanks to the North Brooklyn Boat Club, Long Island City Boathouse, Neighbors Allied for Good Growth (NAG), and Newtown Creek Alliance.
